Question

OPUS Codec for Audition?

I'm currently trying to use the opus .ogg format in Adobe Audition CC 2017 but it gives me the error "AmioLSF plug in could not open the file, Code 17, File contains an unimplemented data format."

We're a radio station and get voice memos sent in through whatsapp and they're encoded in the opus .ogg format. We need to find a way to edit them on the fly and not convert them first.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks,

Hayden

I think you'll find that this has already been mentioned...

Old thread, but this plugin works:

    https://github.com/fnordware/AdobeOgg

Also, this hasn't been updated since 2015, though I tested it in Audition 2020, where import works just fine.

Hi, In which folder did you install the plug-in? I can't find the right location for Audition.

    Hi,
    Sorry for the late answer..

    You put it here:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore\

If you are on mac, I wouldn't know as I'm on Win.

Anyway, once installed, it will work in Premiere Pro and Premiere Rush as well.

Did you ever solve your Opus trouble? I am looking to use Ogg Opus as well…

I think your best bet would be to contact Libsndfile (which is supported by Audition) and ask whether Opus could be added to that.
