Playback Monitoring Choppy/Dropouts After Updating to Audition 2019

WINDOWS 10 ASIO MODE

After updating from Audition 11.1.1 to Audition 2019 12.0.1  I get Playback monitoring issues.  It has become choppy and drop outs like the sample rate is bad.  At first I thought it was my UFX2014 Mixer, but it plays back just fine on the previous 2018 version.  Its come down to the the audio hardware sample rate.  All files are at 48000 hz, if I bring the sample rate down to 44100 Hz play back monitoring is fine.  Am I missing something?

None of these issues occur in the 2018 version.

Is this the RME UFX interface? What ASIO drivers are you using? Nothing should have changed in the way that Audition deals with audio in/out as far as I am aware. Are the Audio Hardware page settings identical in both Audition version installs? there are a couple of tick boxes on the hardware setup page which might change the way the ASIO function in the two different versions. The settings are 'Attempt to force hardware to document sample rate' and 'Use machine specific device defaults'.

Hi Ryclark,

I am using the Behringer Xenyx UFX1204.  I am currently using Behringers ASIO Drivers 6.13.0

Both Hardware page settings are indeed identical, both "attempt to force hardware" and "use machine specific device" are both unchecked.

Is there a different more recommended ASIO driver I could use?

Thanks,

John V

Those seem to be the latest Behringer drivers for the UFX mixers. Maybe it would be worth asking in the Behringer Recording forums. What size I/O Buffer setting are you using? It might be worth increasing the size.
