Playhead scrubbing causes Audition CC 2018 to freeze everytime

Hi

I am using Audition CC 2018 to do sound design for a film. I have added multiple track effects and clip effects across the project. The most common effect being used is "Full Reverb" as the film takes place in a cave. Till a certain point, the scrubbing wasn't a problem. But now with most of the audio in, it has a seriously long freeze time and scrubbing is impossible. I have switched on the Pre-render option for the tracks that have Full Reverb in it. But still I am facing this issue.

I'm afraid that, as you have found out, play scrubbing and Full Reverb don't get along very well at all. Full Reverb is one of the most processor intense effects in Audition and as such is not really intended to be used as a real time effect. How many iterations of the Full Reverb do you have open in your Multitrack session. If you are using it across a lot of separate tracks then you are bound to run into processing latency. Full reverb it best used as a Bus effect so you only have it applied once to a Bus and any channels needing the reverb get sent to it via Bus Sends.

Hey thanks for the prompt response!

I'll try taking it off the individual ones and use it on the bus track.
