Please help I'm going to cry. Reversing a selection is reversing the entire clip.
So I do voice over work, and my method is to just record the entire voice over session (about 30 minutes) then split it up into many clips and deal with the timing later. The result is a multitrack session with a dozen minute lengthed small clips all stemming from one original 30 minute clip. In other words every clip has the same name (track 1_001).
But on one clip I want to reverse the audio. Seems easy enough. I double click that clip and it takes me to the waveform format. Annoyingly it shows me the entirety of the original 30 minute clip, but oh well, I figure if I just select the small part I want reversed then the result will still be the same. I reverse it, go back to my multitrack session, and wallah, every single clip on my timeline that I had initially split from the original long clip is now reversed and it's driving me nuts. I think the solution is if audition would just recognize that by cutting out a section from a clip, that section becomes its own unique clip completely independent of the original. You know, like how every other audio editing program has ever worked?
Please help me, I'm about to throw my computer down the well.
