Plugin Details not Displayed in Multitrack

Hope that you can help me..

I'm using the Waves Gold Package of plugins.. 

I'm noticing that if I have chosen a particular plugin, it displays the actual plugin when I'm working..    however if I close the project, and return back to it, I have not indication as to what the setting I have used within that plugin ?

It will (for example) tell me that I have used a C4 Mono plug-in..   However there are many different presents on this..    It tells me when I go back in, that it is a custom setting, however that's really no use to me..  

Is there any reason why this is occurring ?
