Podcasting audio issues

I record Zoom interviews via the Rodecaster Pro and am happy with the WAV audio I edit in AA. however when I then edit together with the music I find I can hear sounds like me breathing in, a kind of woosh sound when ever I finish speaking that I could not hear in the intitial audio.  Why does this happen?  I am having to use the initial WAV file in Ferrite on my iPad to retain the quality of sound as it will be lost on AA.  Why?

How exactly are you doing the editing?

I edit in the WaveForm format, creating a new audio file, inserting the part of the interview I wish to keep and saving it. Then I go into Multitrack to insert the edited interview interspesed with music.  It's at this point I notice the degradation in audio quality for my edited interview.  It's most odd.

Are you using a template to edit in Multitrack? If you are using the Podcast template, it's hardly surprising that this happens - it's not suitable for anything other than showing you how much trouble you can get in with a template!

Try again using no template, and the worst that will happen is that you'll lose 3dB of level because of the default pan law. You can make that up very easily, and you won't have all the compression artifacts.
