popping and clicking when I apply pitch shifter to vocal clips in Audition 2019

Hello,

When I speed up my vocal tracks via pitch shifter or stretch in the multi-track there is often popping or clicking occurring during playback. This only occurs in the multi-track not in the waveform.

Any advice on how to get rid of this distortion?

Are you doing this in real time, or rendered mode? It always works much better in rendered...

Hi, Rendered mode definitely helps but I still get some popping and
clicking when I apply other effects, even with rendered mode on. Any
suggestions?

The other thing you should do, especially if there are other effects on it, is to pre-render the whole track:

So that's the little green lightning bolt. You can always undo this if you change your mind about anything, but what it does is to preprocess everything on the track before attempting to play it - which invariably makes things smoother, especially if you have any heavy-lifting effects like Full Reverb added.
