Popping or Flapping noises in Vocals after export

To whom it may concern,

Heres my issue, I just recorded a session using Adobe Audition with Xvox effects applied to a few vocal tracks. The first time I exported it with the effects and did a car test it was fine but  I decided to redo a couple of recordings in my session with the Xvox effects still applied, then I exported it, did another car test and I expierenced flapping noises or popping during the vocal recordings. Does anyone know what this could be or have a solution?

P.S. Sorry if I didn't explain myself better but if you have any questions feel free to ask. Thank you

I am having the aame problem, but in video editor Vegas. I just noticed that I never had this problem before recently applying the Xvox plugin for a secondary EQ for my videos vocals. When i get home, Im gonna render same video but with the xvox plugin disabled in the audio chain to see if it is indeed the plugin..

Normally, popping and flapping noises happen when you are too close to the mic, and not using a pop shield (designed specifically to reduce this sort of thing). Is this Xvox some sort of a VST plugin? If it is, you haven't actually applied it to the recording (Audition won't let you do that) but it will be in the monitoring chain. If this is the case, and you mute the effect, does the playback still have the same issues?

Thank you for your response, sorry I wasn't specific but I'm using a pop filter while recording my vocals and I usually distant myself from the microphone where I am not too close. Nuro Xvox is VST plug in which I applied to certain tracks and not to the recording itself. When I turn off the plug in and then export my session with the effects turned off, there is no flapping noise or anything like that and also if I playback the session in the timeline with the Xvox turned on. There are no popping or flapping noises. There seems to be a glitch during the exporting process.

This sort of issue has occurred before, and usually it's to do with the plugin concerned not running quickly enough during the export process - hence the strange results. The best approach to dealing with this is to pre-render the effect in the track prior to export. So that's the little lightning bolt you see at the top of the effects box. Using this means that the effect doesn't need to be run in real time during export - it's already happened, so no strange things happening to the sound. Give that a try, and see how you get on.
