Problem with Adobe Audtion CC Build 11.0.0.199 - Delay between recording microphone and audio output in the headphones - Impossible to sing - Unlistenable eco effect!

Hello everybody,

I have Adobe Audition CC (version Build 11.0.0.199) and I would like to use it for singing records and listening them in live in my headphones.

I've already connected the microphone to my Mac, as well as the headphones and then I've set the Hardware Audio entry on the microphone and the output on the headphones. Until now, everything's good.

The problem is the following:

when I press on "write" and then "record", the moment from which I sing and the moment when I actually hear my voice in the headphones is about 1 second delayed. How can I eliminate this annoying delay? It's like I sing in the middle of a canyon.

iMac Information:

• iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015;
