Problem with playback after recording in Audition CC

I'm recording a multitrack session with 6 mics using Audition CC and a Qu32 board on a Windows 10 desktop.  I'm using the ASIO4ALL driver.  The audio records fine, but when I stop recording to listen, I have no playback.  In order to get playback I must go into Audio Hardware settings and change over to the MME device option.  Is this a problem with my audio driver, or is this a known bug in Audition CC?

    There is no known bug of that sort with Audition CC 2017. Audition only records what is sent to it via the audio drivers supplied with your audio interface and similarly playback has to go via the same driver. How are you trying to listen to playback with Audition? Are you using the Qu32 board to play the audio out through? You shouldn't need to use ASIO4All since Allen & Heath provide proper ASIO drivers for the Qu32 that you should be using for both recording and playback.

    As ryclark says, the Qu32 (lovely mixer by the way) has its own dedicated drivers you should be using.  The download is here:  http://www.allen-heath.com/key-series/qu-series/#tab5   Note that there's also been a fairly recent firmware update so, depending on when you bought the mixer, it might be beneficial to do that too.

    As for playback from Audition through the mixer, you'll need to do some setting up on the mixer itself.  This is detailed on pages 78 and 79 of the manual.  Note that you'll also need to tell Audition where to route signals once you've set up the mixer.  You can either send each track to its own fader or just send the simple stereo mix back to the mixer.

    Of course this assumes you want to monitor via the.  If you're trying to use the internal sound card or something, I'd strongly recommend going the mixer route.
