Unless you changed your auto save location, by default Adobe Audition backs up to the Adobe Creative Cloud, assuming you're using the cloud licensed version. If this is the case and you were working in Multitrack, you can go to your Creative Clouds files location and find your backups there. Good luck.

Unless you actually manually synched files, then no, there is no such thing as automatic cloud backups. Conversely, nobody can tell you how successful any file recovery may be. Even expensive professional forensic firms never give any guarantees. You could spend a lot of money for nothing. there are simply too many factors that influence this liek actual file system type, storage locations, overal ldisk activity, background processes reorganizing files etc.. You won't know until you try. that all being the case, you probably should get used to the thought of having to start over entirely from scratch.
