Projects wont open properly after saving and closing out of session

PLEASE HELP this is the THIRD time this has happened and I'm ready to cancel my subscription and find something more reliable. I recorded a session on multi-track and made sure to save the file properly beofre exiting the session. When I went back in to edit it later on, I kept getting this message:

No matter what I do it wont open the file and I'm so upset!!!!!

Are these missing files being stored locally on your machine?

I am saving them to a external hard drive which I've done many times before and never had issues until recently

That's fine - the big no-no is saving them to any form of cloud storage.

But, I have to say that you aren't now the only person appearing to have difficulties with this. Which means alerting the devs...
