Punch and roll option does not show in preferences or when I right click on record button

As the title says, I go to prefernces > playback and the options for setting up punch and roll are missing.

I right click on record and there are options for instant and timed record modes. No punch and roll mode.

What do I do?

I'm using Audtion CC 2018. It's updated to the latest version.

Also, wasn't Punch and Roll actually first introduced in later versions of Audition than the OP's 2018?

Try reinstalling Audition initially.

Good advice but I run Windows 7 and I must have Win10 to reinstall. That's
f-ed up.
