punch in

I just started using a new version of audition after 15 years of the old 2.0 version. Is there no way to do a punch in with the new one? It seems like the most basic thing needed in a multi track program, but I don't see it anywhere. It was easy in the old one, and reaper, and ableton, and so on. any help is appreciated.

The way I understand it punch and roll, and punch in are two different
things. But it doesn't matter, because punch and roll option never comes up
on my program
