Question about Cool Edit Pro

Question

I have Cool Edit Pro installed on my computer for my recordings and karaoke stuff. I have been getting a message stating that there is no output device installed on my system...everything saves to my external hard drive and I just recorded two songs prior to getting the error.

Can someone help me figure out what is going on?

You need to look at the sound settings in CEP and check that they are still correct for the hardware you've got. Can't give you specific details because I haven't had CEP on a machine for decades! No obvious reason that it shouldn't work, but it's way out of date now, and the way Microsoft behave, it could easily be something they've done.
