Recorded x32 in Audition and playback is only on channel 1 and 2

Question

Hello, I am trying to record the x32 on audition 32 in / 32 out. Recording worked great, but when I go to play it back so i can eq and mix it, it only plays back on channel 1 and 2? What am I doing wrong? I need it to play back on the channels in which it was recorded on. HELP!

In Edit>Preferences>Audio Channel Mapping make sure that each of your 32 channels is assigned to an output on your sound device - that will get the original channels playing back through the channels you recorded them on. Also you will have to make sure that on the track itself, each track's output is correctly mapped to the x32.

It's also worth mentioning that once you've got all the settings working in Audition, you should save that as a session template - that way you don't have to redo it each time you want it.
