Recording audio directly from computer. It quit working, how do I get it back?

For my job I record the audio off of a youtube video into adobe. I usually do this by using the stereo audio input and then recording while playing the video. However, for some reason the audio input stereo is no longer an option. Do you know why it would have dissapeared and how to get it back?
