Recording audio is strange

I have other recording software such as obs that record without issue, Unfortunatly im running into an issue in audition where the audio is way faster than it should be, and it echos .
I have a mono microphone , and everything in audition has been reset to factory settings a few times but the problem is still present.

Ive done some searching around and cant realy find any solutions.

Anyone on here have any idea what im doing wrong here?

I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled (making sure to remove all settings) , that appears to have fixed it.

Additionally , The microphone used in obs to record is the same thats setup in auditions, with no changes.
