Recording problem

Hi all

I've just set up my sound studio for voice recording and when I try to record on Adobe Audition it doesn't record.

I have an AKG P420 microphone and a Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface. I've checked on Edit/Preferences/Audio Hardware and my interface is recognised.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong.

There are many possibilities, but first you'll have to tell us some basic stuff - like is this on a Mac or a PC? And are you trying to record in Waveform, or Multitrack view?

Many thanks for taking the trouble to reply.

I'm using a laptop with a Windows operating system.

I'm not sure what Waveform is but I'm not using Multitrack.
