Recording two USB mic to not a computer

Question

Hey there. I'm looking for a mobile recording setup for my two USB snowball blue microphones that doesn't involve a labtops. I was wondering if there is a piece of gear I can get that would allow me to record both mics to two different channels to SD card maybe then later import it and edit it later. For my podcats and I like to be mobile

Short answer - no. The problem you have is that these mics can't have their internal clocks synced, and that's an absolute basic requirement. You can sort-of get around it with a laptop, by using something like ASIO4ALL to create what looks like a single device where one mic is resampled using the clock signal from the other one. But that's a software solution; I'm not aware of any hardware ones.

If you want to record two mics into a single recorder, you're much better off getting a couple of XLR mics and a basic portable recorder to plug them into. Better quality, and far less mucking about!
