Recordings stop too early

Hello community!

I am relatively new to Audition (just came from PT) and have trouble with with recordings stopping before i stop them, usually the recording stops < 1s earlier than when I press stop. I posted a video here to show what is happening:

As you can see the recoring stops before the playback stops.

Any ideas why this strange behaviour happens and what to do about it?
