Removing Voice Bleed on Multi tracks (Podcast)

Question

We record our podcast with 3-4 people around a table.  Inevitably, we end up with voices bleeding onto each individual track.  I know I can insert silences, but this takes so long – I’m an amateur podcaster so don’t have the luxury of time.  I have tried Noise Gate but can't apply different settings to different tracks.  Does anyone have any advice on an easier way to remove or at least reduce the voice bleed in editing?  I'm using the latest version of Audition.  Thanks.  Nicchia

I have to say that as an amateur, the one thing you do have the luxury of is time! It's the people doing to a deadline imposed by somebody else that lose that completely.

I'm not quite sure why, if you are working in multitrack, you can't use different noise gate settings on each track, though. An instance on each track should be able to have its own independent settings. Can you describe exactly how you've got this laid out?
