Hi there,

I'm having trouble finding where to rename my recorded tracks in the most recent edition of adobe audition. Am I missing something very obvious or is this feature no longer available as of Adobe Audition !CC 19 version 12.0.1.34

First to Adobe Audition - it's ridiculous not to be able to name a track within the files panel.   The easiest way to do it is to copy the existing track, open a new track, name it as you wish, and paste the copy audio into it. Delete the previous track.

Where were you previously able to rename tracks that you can't do now? By the way the latest version of Audition is now 12.1. So I advise you to update to that version to check to see if it gives you the same problem.

Ah yes, a good question. I was unclear. I'm trying to rename the audio clips that I've recorded, not the track. I can rename the track just fine. But I used to be able to right-click and rename an audio clip I'd just recorded in the files panel. Now, I'm not able to do that.

AFAIAA you haven't been able to rename Clips or Files in the Files panel ever since way back. The only place that you can do it is in the Properties panel which you can reach by right clicking on the clip header and going down to Rename. Then it opens up the Properties panel for you if it isn't already available.
