Repair Vocals after using Central Channel Extractor

Hi,

I'm isolation vocals from a video with a dominant music track ("Gift It Like You Mean It" ) and the audio is coming in muffled, muddy, hard to hear. I've played with various frequencies and levels within the effect.

Is there a repair effect I can use in conjunction with Central Channel Extractor? Or afterwards?

There's really not enough difference signal to make this work very well - it's not surprising that anything you do sounds worse; that's what happens when it becomes hard to discriminate. You can improve things a bit if you use the Stereo Expander set to as wide as it will go, initially, and then use the center channel extractor, being careful with the settings. At least like that the music gets moved out to the sides, which makes the speech in the center a little clearer...
