Repairing .tmp file glitches in Adobe Audition

Hey!

Had an unfortunate system crash during multitrack recording in a new Audition session.

Found two of three tracks I was recording as .tmp files upon rebooting.

One of them is good and clean, the other has the audio all there but with loads of skipping when converting the .tmp to RAW. It was a recorded interview. I could try and edit out the skips with "delete silence" but there are words out of order and on top of each other.

Anyone have experience with that? Would love to know if there is any way to repair.

Thanks!

You are lucky to have retrieved anything at all; most people don't. The problem with anything missing is precisely that - it's missing. All you can do is try to resurrect it as best you can, and if that's not possible, then you have to re-record, I'm afraid. There's no magic formula for reassembling these things at all, as every time it happens, it's different.
