Run scripts from Audition 3 in Audition CC?

Hi,

 

I have a couple of old scripts created for Audition 3.0 that I need to run again. Is there a way to run them in Audition CC or convert them into a file format that will run?

I'm afraid you can't. This is something that many people have bemoaned over the years, but the formats and capabilities are so different, that it's simply not possible. And as far as I'm concerned, the previous scripting language, despite being a little arcane, was rather more flexible than the present version.

    Thanks! That's what I thought...  I'm wondering if there is someone who can interpret the original script and show me how to reproduce the results in Audition CC?

    If you post them here I can have a look, but there is absolutely no guarantee of two things: Firstly, that I can still decode them, and secondly, that the restrictions on the new scripting format will allow a rewrite of them to work at all...

     

    And on top of that, one of the other massive restrictions on the new Favorites system is that you can't share them without some very careful XML cutting and pasting - there's simply no mechanism for this - unless somebody knows something I don't...
