Question

sample rate audition

I am having trouble with Audition and sample rates. I recently upgraded my Mac, and now I find I cannot record in Audition (the mix is coming through a Roland MX-1 via USB).

I am using the same setup that had previously worked on the older Mac. But Audition (stangely) is trying to send the audio output back to the MX-1, instead of the speakers. And when I manually attempt to switch the output to the speakers, Audition says the sample rates are not compatible.

Again, this is the same setup I had used before - same mixer, same speakers. So I'm not sure why there is an issue now.

Following up - this is an Audition issue that relates to anything plugged into the headphones jack. I can get everything working using the Mac's built in speakers. But as soon as I plug anything in the headphone jack (speakers, headphones, etc) Audition keeps saying the sampling rate (96khz) is not compatible. For some reason, Audition does not like any hardware in the headphones jack. I do not understand this problem - I did not have it on the older computer.
