Saved .WAV files gone

Hello, does anyone know how to find missing WAV files?

I was recording for most of the day today through Audition and saving every file. I did not close out of Audition at any point. When I saved the last file and closed audition I had done 23-25 different recordings. I later turned on the same computer and tried to find/open the files and they were not where I saved them, nor anywhere on the Drive I saved them in, nor anywhere else on the computer.

Is there any way to find these?

Hard to say, as we don't even know whether this is a Mac or a PC, or how you recorded the files - i.e. in Multitrack or Waveform. Or whether this was an external or internal drive, or anything really... (hint, hint...)

Hey SteveG, thanks for the feedback:

It is a PC running windows 10, Surface Pro 4 to be exact, core i5 8GB ram.

I have the latest version of Adobe Audition that just came out.

I recorded the files in Waveform, not multitrack.

I saved them onto a Micro SD card which is plugged into the media slot

Did you check replay of the first file to ascertain that the card data rate was sufficient for the task?
