Seems Audition 3 crashes when a effect is used

Last days Audition 3.0 crashes when I use a filter to process a recording on my Windows 10 computer. Seems that it has to do with VST plugins but I haven't been able to find a solution. Happens since Windows Creators update was installed. Anyone who knows a solution?

It seems quite unpredictable, just tested it. Edited some spoken word audio, at the end used the multiband compressor [raise vocals] and than it happened again. Audition crashed, editing not saved and have to start again.
