Select to end of file from playhead shortcut?

I have about a hundred wav files where I need to cut out the beginning and end of the file (for example, see the linked image; keep everything inside the two markers, delete everything else). Every single file is different, so I would like to set up two shortcuts that will delete everything to the right and to the left of the playhead (respectively). That way all I have to do is place the playhead, Delete Right shortcut, place the playhead, delete Left shortcut, done. Basically, I need a shortcut that will select to the end of the file (similar to Select Clips to End of Selected Track). Is this possible, and if so, how would I make these shortcuts?

There are already keyboard shortcuts to do this in two key presses.

Position the playhead at a point in from the top (beginning) of the audio and press O (oh, oscar). That will select from the beginning up to that point. Then press Delete to get rid of that selected audio.

To go the other way, near the tail (end) of the audio, press I (eye, indigo) to select from that point to the right until the end.

I is for In (select from here to the right); O is for Out (select up to this point).

To reduced your key presses by half, you could just highlight what you want to keep & select Trim Clip (I think it's shortcut is CTRL-T)

Great! Two key presses. That will help a lot. Is there any way to select and delete with one key press?

You could try doing them via a Favorite or a macro program like Keyboard Maestro on Mac or AutoHotKey on Windows.
