Sending audio into multitrack

Hi guys!

I´m recording audio for a course and Im having a really annoying problem. Everytime I send an audio into a multitrack it pastes randomly. I can´t get it to paste specifically where I want to. Right now, I have to go back into the track and find it wherever it is and then put it to its correct location. It´s driving me mad. Help!

It doesn't paste randomly at all. If in multitrack you leave a track highlighted, and the cursor at a specific point on the timeline, that's exactly where your clip gets pasted on that track, at that position. All you have to do is remember this before selecting anything to paste...

    But that´s the thing. The cursor is right at the end and when I send the audio (imagining that its going to be sent to that specific point) its not. Its sent to a random part of the mix. I really don´t get it. Its driving me mad. Everytime I send something to goes to the middle of the track, the end. Rarely does it go where I want it to.
