So, am I correct that this page is inaccurate?

https://www.adobe.com/products/audition/free-sound-effects.html

There is no "Easy to find" "collection of searchable, high-definition" "12K free sound effects" in the Audition program, correct?

I found the archive link to the sound effect library, but only in this group.

That is my reading as well! However, I have not been able to access them from Audition - and two different adobe reps have also failed to locate that interface. So can we consider the web page to be inaccurate?

Can you select Download Sound Effects and More... under the Help menu in Audition?

If so, I think the web page is accurate.

Clicking on the links on that page will download the four zip files, each of which you have to unzip to reveal the effects files. What's the problem?

I guess I don't think ~60 SFX downloadable on a website = 25,000 SFX easily accessible via Audition, as was stated on that page. Do you?

@ganglyj

My reading of that page is that you have access to 12K sound effects inside Audition. The 60 or so downloadable SFX on the page you linked to are merely examples.
