Show Time of day from imported wave in Audition

HI,

When I conduct feild recordings, using my Sony recorder, I set the internal clock and time of day. Is there any way to display the time of day of that file while playing back in Audition? Thus allowing me to navigate/ jump to a precise time in the wave file. For example, I start the recording at 12:50pm and record for 2 hours and then I want to jump to 1:22pm - rather than having to caluclate it using the duration of the file?

I'm afraid that Audition doesn't have a built-in timecode reader for audio. The only thing that you can do with embedded timecode in Audition just with audio fools a lot of people - and that's the ability to use the embedded timecode value when you insert clips into a Multitrack session. It fools them, because, using your example, the audio from 1.22 pm would be inserted at 1:22pm counting from where the session started - which could be miles down the line! So people who don't realize about this think they've lost their clips... (You can stop this happening by going to Edit>Preferences>Multitrack Clips and taking the check out of the second entry.)

The only other timecode facility it has lets you superimpose embedded timecode over a video - doesn't work with any audio tracks.
