Question

Single noise removal

How to remove a single noise underneath the speech, which is at the same frequency (or very close) to the speech and so can't be isolated, and is not visible on the spectral frequency display?

background noise removal doesn't work, manual healing doesn't work.  It appears to be created somewhere in the system rather than recorded from an exernal source.  Healing that spot removes the voice.

I'm afraid that you won't be able to do this - you've come up with a list of just about every exclusion there is! The only thing I can suggest is that you try feeding the offending bit of speech into Adobe's On-line Speech Enhancer and see if that helps. This uses AI to isolate speech, and shouldn't allow extraneous noise through - but of course there are no guarantees (even that at any time it's even working, apparently...).

that's a great tip, thanks.  Will try.
