Slight delay when using ripple delete (13.0.1.35 and Catalina 10.15.2)

Recently updated both Mac OS and Audition, and now any time I use ripple delete there's a slight delay between my keystroke and the operation. Is this happening for anyone else, or is it perhaps just a sign of my 2015 Macbook Air slowly dying on me?

    I'm experiencing the same issue with Audition 2020 on Windows 10 (build 18362.836). Any ripple delete takes between 2-5 seconds to process.

    There are a few people with the same issue.

    The only "solution" I have found is to restart the program, but after 10-15 minutes, you'll have the same problem again.
