Sound Problem

Question

Hi!So im very new to AU and still learing how things work but... Anytime i play any mp3 audio track through Audition the track plays fine but keeps stopping  for about a second then starts again then continues to do this, all audio files work fine normally but this only happens when i play through Audition. Any help would be great!!

Audition doesn't play MP3 files directly - it can't. What it does is decode them to wav files (the internal format) and plays those instead. And if you change anything and re-save them, it's very lossy - which is why it's not recommended to do this at all. But when you say 'play back through Audition', what exactly do you mean? What are you actually trying to do?
