Hey guys i sent this same email to soundcraft already but  i figured i would ask on here and see if anyone may have any suggestions as well. thanks for any help, in advance. i know it's probably just a problem on the soundcraft /drivers/etc end but i was wondering if anyone else has had any similar issues as well. thanks again:

im trying to get my notepad 5 to work on my windows 10 hp laptop. i get a driver error from windows every time; also when i try and have adobe audition find it, it shows up but is labeled as not working. i have downloaded and installed, tried, failed, uninstalled all drivers and launcher, reinstalled all of them, reconnected my notepad 5 and i still get driver error from windows device list as well as not even being recognized by the soundcraft audio control panel. included in this is rebooting and pressing 7/f7 etc to get install, all appropriate steps followed every time. here are specs on my laptop:

intel core i7-9750h cpu @2.6GHz 2.59Hz
16 gb RAM
64 bit OS
windows 10 home edition

any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Have you done the firmware upgrade to the Notepad 5?

Yes, I figured out what it was. I had a usb extension device that was causing my issues. I uninstalled the drivers, reinstalled and with the usb device unplugged, everything worked fine afterwards. Now I'm having no problems with it at all. 🤷‍♂
