Source files weren't updated in multitrack session

Hello, we need help creating a multitrack session for a podcast. We have loaded various .wav files into the session and edited them in the waveform editor. Unfortunately, the edits are not transferred to the multitrack; the unedited .wav files are still there, so to speak, even after saving. Can someone help us?
