Spectral frequency cut off/ capped

Hi! I've been using Audtion CC almost every week for about a year. Last week I noticed  a change that impacts the audio, and I can't figure out how to address it. My recoding devices  (Presonos audiobox 44SL and  Windows 10 PC) & settings haven't changed, but the spectral frequency shows that that anything over 10k  is cut off. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!!

What sample rate are you using when you start a new recording? (And that's more like 8kHz not 10!)

I have the same question, so I'll pick up here. I have the same problem, but it gets cut off just over 15k. The bigger, more distinct peaks will still show up, but the hazier parts are cut off.

I recorded in 16 bit, 44.1 kHz. I'm in Adobe Audition, so it re-opens in 32 float. Before I save and close the recording, it is all there, but when I open it back up, the tops are cut off. If I record something new in the file, like fixing a missed word, then the new part has the tops. I feel like I can hear a difference too.

I'm pretty new to this, so please use small words, lol.

Thank you!!!

Exactly what format did you save the file in? And your recording doesn't cut off directly like the OP's one does, so if you think something's wrong, it will be for a different reason.
