Spike Reduction

Here is a sample of the sharp spiking effect. I attempted to use hard limiter (cs6 audition) and that did not improve the condition.

What tool can I use to reduce, possible remove, that spiking? I have a 30 minutes video that I need to make corrections on.

Thanks!

Unfortunately you may not be able to reduce the spikes since these are caused by digital overload (where the conversion to digital has run out of bits) of the recorded signal. It was recorded much too loud. Once there they are almost impossible to remove. The only thing that might help is the De-Clipper and De-Clicker effects to be found under the Diagnostic panel.
