Stretch an audio

Hello!

I'm trying to stretch an audio file in Adobe Audition using Effects - Time and Pitch, but as a result, the sound frequency changes, it turns out something like 5-10 kHz. Why is this happening and is there a way to stretch the sound without losing the original quality (~22 kHz)?

Thank's!

Use Effects>Time and Pitch>Stretch and Pitch, and take the check out of Lock Stretch and Pitch. This will let you alter the time without affecting the pitch (frequency) of the sound.

Thank you! I tried but want to add. I need to not only stretch the track, but lower the pitch as well. Of course, as a result, the frequency drops and this is quite logical. Is it possible to somehow raise the heights on the spectrum to the previous 20 kHz? Tried the equalizer, compressor, but it only slightly changes the picture. Thank you.
