Syncing Audition recording with time code

In our multicam studio, we record our video and audio in several different places, one of those being Audition.  Our video record decks get a mixed version of the audio from our shows and we record all mics and audio sources multitrack in Audition (running on a Mac Pro).  We would like to be able to sync the recordings to make later editing easier so is there a way Audition can receive time code generated by an external source or can Audition be the time code generator that is sent to the other recording decks?

    No, unfortunately Audition has no Timecode or MIDI MMC capability at the moment. However, depending on your audio interface, it may be possible to synchronise the 48kHz audio sample rate wordclock from your video system. Then there should be no problem importing your audio .wav files from Audition into your video NLE software to resync the audio with the audio guide track recorded onto the video recorders.

    With the time I spend syncing audio I feel your pain and agree with the feature request.

    I know it doesn't fit every application but I have a free app on my phone called "Digislate".  If you can get that in shot and picked up by all the various mics, it can make things a lot easier.

    As per ryclark, once I have stuff in sync to start with, I find the Wordclock on most digital gear is accurate enough to keep sync even on fairly long takes.
