Question

Time compress (TCE) in Audition?

I've used both Audition and Pro Tools, and I like them both. The majority of my DAW work is just recording voice-over tracks, so I'd prefer to stick with Audition.

However, ProTools has the TCE ability which stretches or compresses with practically no distortion. Would the Clip Stretch for Audition do the same thing?

From the videos I have seen, it appears there can be some distortion - PLUS it only seems to work in the multitrack, whereas I work almost exclusively in the waveform...

Effects>Time and Pitch>Stretch and Pitch works fine in Waveform view, especially if you use the iZotope Radius algorithm. You get options to play with as well. If you are stretching or compressing to precise times, I'd say this was better than attempting to do it in Multitrack anyway...
