Question

Time difference in exported MP3 files

Hi, I'm using Audition 6 to produce radio programs that are 26:00.000 and for some reason, though they read that length is exactly correct in the session, when I export them in multitrack mixdown, with Audition 6, they shrink 3 seconds. I'm exporting in 128 kps.

The very same files export to the proper length when I use Audacity.

Any help would be great!

I forgot to mention that they export properly and WAV format.

Do the .mp3 files actually shrink in length, ie. when you play them back they are 3 seconds shorter, or is just that some software report their duration as being 3 secs shorter than expected?

They show as shorter in length in windows Media player as well as the file properties. The bit rate seems to affect it as well. These are done at 128kps. When I do 192kps they are only 2 seconds shorter. What's really bizarre is that when the radio station receives them, at 192kps they show on my end at 25:58, and on their end as 25:59.5?
