after a new installation on PC win 7 pro 64 of audition CS5.5 the timeline cursor does not move - but audio is playing and i hear it well! whats the Problem? Thanks

Did you restart the machine?

Yes it is not the video driver

. But if i change to MME driver it runs , the timcode and the timelinecursor appers correctley yeaah - but i do not want to work with it

otherwise im installing asio4all 2.11 it works also fine , in a fix short test

at hte end the native instruments driver does not fit with audition 4.0 CS5.5 !

Have you tried updating your video driver? That's one thing Windows updates/upgrades never get right...

Okay, a bit of background info: If you are hearing sound correctly from a file that's playing in Audition but the cursor isn't moving, then there isn't much, if anything, else to check, except the video driver. If you open a file and the cursor won't move or the file won't play, then that's always a sound device disconnect, as nothing else stops the transport. Video driver failures, especially with system updates, are not rare at all, and the only way to deal with them is to download and apply them separately.
