Trouble loading VST Plug Ins

Hi,

New to Audition and hopefully being very stupid...

I'm trying to use the Audio Plugin Manger to load some VST's i've bought / downloaded. Adding additional paths to the default folders, including to 64 bit installation directory that has a bunch of dll files

After hitting "Scan for Plug-Ins" i see them all get listed as its processing through (lists each under the progress bar one by one). But after nothing ever appears in the section with enabled / name / type / status / path.

Is there something i'm missing? or perhaps a good test VST i could try loading in to sanity check?

Not sure if this will help but... First, ensure you are NOT trying to use any VSTis (VST Instruments).  Audition cannot use them. If you are wanting to use "VST Effects" you say you have listed the additional paths to the default folders.  How many "additional paths"?  Try removing at least some of these, perhaps leaving only one in the Audition Plug in Manager screen and then try the rescan.  If this works, repeat, adding one path each time, just ensure you have not ticked the box to "Rescan existing plug ins". OR, what I have done on my machine, try moving ALL the .dll files for the non-Adobe VSTs to a single, dedicated folder (mine's called, very originally, "VST Plugins") and they are all listed in the Manager and available to use.
