Trouble Recording

Question

I am running Audition CC on my Windows 7 on a computer that has more than enough specs to run this program. The problem is, every time I go to record, the track I listen to in my headphones doesn't play for about 30 seconds into the recording  and then starts to play. I have checked latency issues, audio hardware, and I still have no clue. When I hit the play button, I can head just fine, but when I hit record, no sound for 30 seconds. Any ideas?

Which version of Audition CC? And what audio interface are you using to record from? Are the sample rate of Audition session and your audio interface set the same? And does the track that you have set to record start recording audio straight away or does that also not start for thirty seconds after you hit the record button?
