Trouble saving a multitrack session

I'm sure there's a quick fix to to this but it is driving me crazy. Every time I save a session, audition automatically exports all the files used in the session. So every time I save I end up with a new folder called "imported files" with a copy of all the original files. Is there a way to stop this?

This shouldn't happen when you just Save a Session. The only time Audition normally does this if you Export a Session and you have ticked the 'Save copies of associated files' option box in the Export/Session pane.

On Sae there's also the "One or more of the media files use in this session are located outside the session folder.  Would you like to copy these files to the Session Folder" warning that pops up but, as far as I can see the only option is "don't show this again".  There's no "do this every time" as far as I know.
