In the case of this particular template, you are missing giving yourself a hard time! If you haven't got the Podcast template, something's doing you a huge favour - don't use it, ever. The template claims to set itself up to be useful, but it's nothing of the sort, and no way at all to start a podcast. The main problem with it is that it puts all sorts of really odd processing on each track, and whilst it might have been appropriate for whoever did this in the first place (although I doubt it), it certainly won't be right for you as it stands - or indeed anybody else.

If you just start with the default template you'll get on far better. If you get stuck you can always come back here and ask. Just as importantly, doing it this way you will learn far more about Audition - and podcasts...
