Two Playheads, One Invisible No sound Playing

there are two, one invisible and no sound is coming out

AND EVERYTHING IS WORKING PERFECTLY SO DON'T TELL ME ABOUT MY AUDIO HARDWARE SETTING

every time it leaves a "shadow" behind as a result no sound!!!!

i'm so pissed off!

Well, the faint 'shadow' you refer to is normal - that's the position that the previous playback started from. Assuming that you haven't set anything abnormal in the playback settings, I would expect from the view you've shown that when you hit the space bar, the cursor would return to the start of the file, and play from there. What actually happens?

You've already told us that it can't possibly be Audition's hardware settings, so we can't tell you. And you haven't answered my question. Let me put it more explicitly; does the cursor move to the start of the file and appear to be playing it?

Actually, you haven't really told us enough relevant information. Mac or PC? What sound device are you using?
